Welcome back to the scarily scheduled… Grave Tidings! Community Coroner We’re changing channels a slight bit for this month’s Community Coroner, but we are proud to present an entire script written by a fan! J. Jenkins has crafted The Tomb of the Forgotten Pharaoh, a short and sweet one event script with plenty of mummies and deaddies. This script is guaranteed to scare the wrappings off the heartiest player and have them run to their canopic jars for comfort. This script can be downloaded by clicking this link. Content Crypt Digging once more back into the archives we uncover… Welcome to Tihi… a bone chilling script that’s sure to put a shiver into your summer. An all-expenses-paid trip to a tropical island may sound like a dream, but in Welcome to Tihi, it’s a nightmare. Soak in the sun, and the scares, as a conspiracy of something clever and bad unfolds. Will the players make it out alive? Or will they be faced with something worse than a mild sunburn? Find out in… Welcome to Tihi! Ominous News
We here at Crucifiction Games were alerted that we had made a typo on our last Grave Tidings. The goblins responsible for this typo have been punished. As many of you may have noticed, our claim that Director’s Cut 1 would be released in “Late April,” was false, mostly due to the fact that the Grave Tidings was posted in late April. Rest assured, we are working hard on Director’s Cut 1, and plan to have it out by the end of the year. Thanks for all of your continuing patience and support. Moving forwards, we are sad to say that Grave Tidings will be on hiatus for the summer, however, rest assured, we will be working hard on Director’s Cut 1. Until next time, Stay Spooky!

What’s that sneaking up behind you? It’s… Grave Tidings! Prepare your dice and pencils, because in this Month’s Update, we finally announce when Director’s Cut #1 is releasing! No foolin’ this time!

Once again we delve into the archives to bring you the dustiest, mustiest, and crustiest script from the days of yore. This time we found Summer Camp Nightmare, still being clutched by the skeletal hand of its last DM. Summer Camp Nightmare will see your cast of victims visiting scenic Camp Fusketotulee, home of fun activities, beautiful views, a homicidal maniac, and ducks… probably. We aren’t so sure on that last one. Will your players be able to Survive the onslaught of Crazy Ivan? Or will they be subjected to another… Summer Camp Nightmare? As always, our Content Crypt Script will be 50% off for the entire month on DriveThruRPG. Use this link to pick it up and add it to your gruesome collection. Skeletal hand not included. Ominous News We’ve teased, we’ve tested, but it's finally time to drop some new official Horror Rules content. Mark your calendars, Director’s Cut 1 is aimed for a late April release. What will you be able to find in this package deal?
Thanks once more for all of your continued support and thanks once more for tuning to another… Grave Tidings! Stay Spooky! Haha and boohoo! Yeah, it was April 1st. We couldn't resist! (I blame Thatcher, personally). Hope you all enjoyed the first annual (possibly last annual but certainly not the end of the wacky, bizarre, horribly humorous supplements we'll ever do) Horror Fools supplement we posted earlier: The Welcome to the Gun Show weapons table! Use it with joy, use with frequency but above all, don't use it seriously. It's not intended to spice up any game of Horror Rules, just to poke fun at the tropes and memes and industry exaggerations.
Of course, if one or two crept into a regular game of HR, that probably wouldn't end the world. Unless it was the Head Cannon. That might do it. Oh, and most importantly... this is NOT the next OFFICIAL HR SUPPLEMENT that we've been dropping teasers about. The Director's Cut #1 is still on the way. Can't wait for the terror... and the fun! Where else can you get both, except for a haunted rodeo?! Happy Horrors --Kit Well, here it is! Something we’ve been working on for a bit now. Something brand new. Something, dare we say… Spooktacular! Hopefully this adds some extra spice to your games. Stay Spooky!
Howdy-Boo HR Fans! Welcome once more to… Grave Tidings! In this month’s update, we’ll be bringing you more of the Crucifiction Games community content you love… and some big news!
Content Crypt We’ve sent our hench-goblins back into the archives this month to unearth another terrible Horror Rules Script. This time they came back with… Whistler House! Whistler House will see your group of players traverse a treacherous manor, filled with shifting rooms, deadly puzzles, and the mysterious Whistler himself… and also ghosts. Quite a few ghosts. Will your players be able to solve the mystery and make it out alive? Or will the house gain a few more ghastly residents to wander its halls? Find out in… Whistler House! If this script has eluded your grasp, don't worry, you can check it out using this link, plus, as per usual, it’s 50% off for this month only! Get it while it’s cold! Ominous News Big news on our latest Horror Rules: Director’s Cut! Our designers have been working hard on crafting some new content, including a special new table, a brand new script, and more! We aren’t able to share too much more on this Director's Cut, however, we can say that it should be dropping some time in the month of April! Stay tuned to this feed so that you can know exactly when it’s released! Thanks once more for sticking with us through the years. This has been Grave Tidings. Stay Spooky! Hey there HR Fans! Welcome to the very first Crucifiction Games blog… Grave Tidings! You may be asking yourself, “So… what exactly is this? I’ve never seen my favorite company, Crucifiction Games, do anything like this before.” That’s because we haven’t. We’re starting to work on some more projects, so we’ve decided to start these monthly updates in order to share all the exciting things we and others have been working on. Community Coroner One of the items we wish to highlight going forward are the wonderful things our community makes. Horror Rules has a strong connection to people making their own stories and experiences, and we want to showcase that! For this first Community Coroner, we wish to share a project that does a fantastic job on portraying the feel of Horror Rules: Meddling Mortals. Meddling Mortals is a podcast, made by one of our fans and his friends, where they play Horror Rules. The podcast itself focuses on a series of paranormal events plaguing a small town in the Puget Sound. What really goes on there? Find out in… Meddling Mortals! If you have a bit of Crucifiction Games fan content, please, send us an email at [email protected] and we may feature it in our next Grave Tidings. Content Crypt Crucifiction Games has been around for over 20 years. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I can’t. In this time, we’ve created a bunch of content, and in this section of Grave Tidings, we want to unearth some potentially overlooked scripts, bits, and other goodies. This month we will be highlighting the Rotanoga Rapture, a Copper Best Seller on Drive Thru RPG, and a tale of twisted, small town, nostalgia. Uncover the mysteries of Rotanoga, battle cultists, and face the true meaning of a Maine Autumn. Check it out using this link, plus, for this month only, it’ll be 50% percent off! Get it while it’s cold! Ominous News Finally, for this inaugural Grave Tidings, we’d like to show some updates and provide some information as to what we’re currently working on. Crucifiction Games has been a little dormant for a while now, however, we are glad to announce that we will actively begin working on exciting new content! Among our new projects is a second edition of Horror Rules. However, this second edition is quite a ways away, but in the meantime, we would like to share bits and pieces of some of the things you can expect in the form of our brand new Directors Cuts! Directors Cuts will be collections of a variety of new Horror Rules content, including character types, scripts, and more! These Directors Cuts will provide glimpses into some of the content of V2, however, they will have their fair share of original goodies that you can use in your own games. In addition, V2 will also have exclusive content not available in the Directors Cuts. Finally, we’d like to give one big thanks to you! We are grateful for all of your support over the years, through times of production and times of planning. We are excited to share some of the things that we’ve been working on with you very soon… let’s just say… keep your eyes peeled and stakes ready for April. It's here! The brand new home of Horror Rules, the Simply Horrible Roleplaying Game! We've got a facelift and a bucketload of new features and fun: new products, conventions, appearances, supplements, podcasts and someone even let a marmot in here! Stay tuned, check back frequently and let us know what else you'd like to see. We're ready to get weird!
