Community Coroner
  We’re changing channels a slight bit for this month’s Community Coroner, but we are proud to present an entire script written by a fan! J. Jenkins has crafted The Tomb of the Forgotten Pharaoh, a short and sweet one event script with plenty of mummies and deaddies. This script is guaranteed to scare the wrappings off the heartiest player and have them run to their canopic jars for comfort.

We here at Crucifiction Games were alerted that we had made a typo on our last Grave Tidings. The goblins responsible for this typo have been punished. As many of you may have noticed, our claim that Director’s Cut 1 would be released in “Late April,” was false, mostly due to the fact that the Grave Tidings was posted in late April. Rest assured, we are working hard on Director’s Cut 1, and plan to have it out by the end of the year.

Thanks for all of your continuing patience and support. Moving forwards, we are sad to say that Grave Tidings will be on hiatus for the summer, however, rest assured, we will be working hard on Director’s Cut 1.

(I blame Thatcher, personally). Hope you all enjoyed the first annual (possibly last annual but certainly not the end of the wacky, bizarre, horribly humorous supplements we'll ever do) Horror Fools supplement we posted earlier: The Welcome to the Gun Show weapons table! Use it with joy, use with frequency but above all, don't use it seriously. It's not intended to spice up any game of Horror Rules, just to poke fun at the tropes and memes and industry exaggerations.

Of course, if one or two crept into a regular game of HR, that probably wouldn't end the world. Unless it was the Head Cannon. That might do it.

Oh, and most importantly... this is NOT the next OFFICIAL HR SUPPLEMENT that we've been dropping teasers about. The Director's Cut #1 is still on the way. Can't wait for the terror... and the fun! Where else can you get both, except for a haunted rodeo?!

Hey there HR Fans! Welcome to the very first Crucifiction Games blog… Grave Tidings!
You may be asking yourself, “So… what exactly is this? I’ve never seen my favorite company, Crucifiction Games, do anything like this before.” That’s because we haven’t. We’re starting to work on some more projects, so we’ve decided to start these monthly updates in order to share all the exciting things we and others have been working on.

Community Coroner
   One of the items we wish to highlight going forward are the wonderful things our community makes. Horror Rules has a strong connection to people making their own stories and experiences, and we want to showcase that!
   For this first Community Coroner, we wish to share a project that does a fantastic job on portraying the feel of Horror Rules: Meddling Mortals. Meddling Mortals is a podcast, made by one of our fans and his friends, where they play Horror Rules. The podcast itself focuses on a series of paranormal events plaguing a small town in the Puget Sound. What really goes on there? Find out in… Meddling Mortals!

   Finally, for this inaugural Grave Tidings, we’d like to show some updates and provide some information as to what we’re currently working on. Crucifiction Games has been a little dormant for a while now, however, we are glad to announce that we will actively begin working on exciting new content!
   Among our new projects is a second edition of Horror Rules. However, this second edition is quite a ways away, but in the meantime, we would like to share bits and pieces of some of the things you can expect in the form of our brand new Directors Cuts!
   Directors Cuts will be collections of a variety of new Horror Rules content, including character types, scripts, and more! These Directors Cuts will provide glimpses into some of the content of V2, however, they will have their fair share of original goodies that you can use in your own games. In addition, V2 will also have exclusive content not available in the Directors Cuts.

   Finally, we’d like to give one big thanks to you! We are grateful for all of your support over the years, through times of production and times of planning. We are excited to share some of the things that we’ve been working on with you very soon… let’s just say… keep your eyes peeled and stakes ready for April.
